On Sunday, June 22, at approximately 8:30 pm, the Starke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person.  Ronald “Bub” McDaniel was reported to have last been seen near his residence on County Road 250 West in North Judson during the morning hours of Saturday, June 21.  Deputies and Detectives began collecting information and continued the search into Monday.  Unfortunately, Ronald McDaniel was found deceased on a property in Pulaski County late Monday afternoon.

The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Porter County Search and Rescue, Lake County Sheriff’s Aviation unit, and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.  There was also an overwhelming amount of support from the community, as well as friends and family of Ronald McDaniel who volunteered their time and resources to assist in the search.
