On Thursday December 26th, 2024, Sammy D. Bottorff, age 31, of North Judson was taken into custody by deputies with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.

Bottorff was identified as a suspect in an investigation related to sexual abuse of a child. The arrest comes after several months of investigation by detectives with the Sheriff’s Department. As a result of the arrest, formal charges were filed against Bottorff by the Starke County Prosecutors Office.

Bottorff has been charged with three counts of Child Molesting a Level 1 Felony, and three counts of Incest a Level 4 Felony. No further details will be made available due to minor victims being involved.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
