We at the Sheriff’s Department would greatly appreciate your help in a new endeavor to make our county a safer place for you and your children.

Sexually Violent Predators and Offenders Against Children have a strict residential restriction to abide by. They are not permitted to reside within 1000 feet of schools, parks, youth programs and childcare centers. (More information about what qualifies under these categories can be found on the application.)

If you believe you work or reside in one of these areas please pick up an application for a restricted entity, available at the Starke County Sheriff’s office or here on our website, and then submit the completed application to the Sheriff’s Office. All applications will be reviewed and either approved or denied based on Indiana statutes.

This information is made available for the purpose of protecting the public. Anyone who uses this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution.
